Christmas review by Brenda Ayres and Jackie Elliott
One again December saw much activity in St Andrew's Church as we welcomed the return of the Christmas tree festival. The new lighting enabled us to light all the trees - and this year we had 22 . As well as adding to the atmosphere with highlighting our splendid ceiling. It was lovely to see our favourites again - the WI with all their handmade decorations, the Bell ringers with their tree covered in bells of all sorts and sizes, the colourful ones from the Parish Council, the Village hall, the Care Group and the Forget-Me-Not's as well as the Produce Show, Linden Cottage, Sports and Social Club and our own Church tree. The village children had all been busy making their decorations for the trees from the Little Norman's Pre-school, Tots and Co., The Brownies, Sunday School, The Norman School and the year 6 pupils. We were especially pleased to be joined by some new "Trees" this year with a very patriotic one from the American Families living in Northwold and the Red/White and Blue of the R.A.F families. An impressive tree from the new Drama group together with a children's favourite, The Edible Tree and just for this year a Golden Jubilee tree, both from the Ayres girls all added to the interest for our visitors

to enjoy. Our Charity tree raised over £40 for the East Anglian Children's Hospices, our thanks to all who supported this. We must also thank the owners of Wellington Lodge for again providing the tree which stood in the churchyard, signalling to everyone that it's "Christmas Time". So many people give so much towards making our Christmas at St Andrew's such a special time. We were very pleased that so many of you came along to enjoy our Carols By Candlelight service and the Crib and Christingle, the Children's Nativity and the Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. Our thanks again to everyone who helped in any way - from Frank, Harry and John who carried the trees in, to Betty and Pat who did the final sweep out last week and to everyone who helped in any way.
Church Bazaar A big Thank You to everyone who supported the Bazaar - whether contributing goods, buying or selling - and including Father Christmas and his wonderful transport. We raised £ 1100 for the Church.
Coffee morning The next Coffee Morning in St Andrew's Church will be on Thursday, February 27th from 10.30 until 12 noon. As a change from stalls and raffle enjoy some light
