New faces at The Crown Northwold Crown has new owners. Gary and Kym Widdicks have bought the establishment and have moved in together with their daughter Sarah and son Michael. Kay comes from London, and Gary from Southampton, although he also did originate from London. They previously had the licence for two other Pubs, the last one being at Wickford in Essex, but this is the first one that they have actually owned. The Crown will be open all day, every day for food and they are working to a new menu. It is hoped in the near future to also serve take away fish and chips. Morning Coffee is available every day, and Sunday roast lunches will be starting in a week's time, so they should have started by the time this edition goes to press. Also it is intended to serve traditional Christmas Lunches on the run up to Christmas but not on Christmas day. Gary, who is a keen fly fisherman says that there is work to be done to improve the appearance of the building, which will soon be put in hand. Gary will be running the bar side of the business and Kay will be in charge of the kitchen. Sarah is assisting her parents in the general running of the business and Michael will be starting at Methwold High School after harvest.
