Keith MacLeod (Reader)

Keith will be trying to fulfil some of Nigel's duties until a replacement minister is found.
He has kindly provided a little background.
Keith was born in 1937 and lived in India until moving to Nottingham at age 5. During his early years he also lived in Bedford and London. Keith served in the Seaforth Highlanders from 1956 to 1959, in Scotland, Gibraltar (including Suez) and Germany. In 1959 he went to Hull University to read History and then became a Tax Inspector from 1962 to 1974 (including 3 year sabbatical to read Economics at Liverpool

University). Expanding his career still wider, he was employed as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in London from 1974 to 1977 (including a evening course at Birkbeck College to read for MSc in Econometrics & Mathematical Economics). After this, he had 10 years with Schlumberger, based in London, then Paris and finally Tokyo. He moved to Norfolk in 1986, to live and to work as a self-employed Accountant.
On the personal side, he was married to Jill in 1963 - 3 super children: Carole is married to Gary (who is currently in Iraq as a TA nurse) and with granddaughter Catherine (nearly 2) - live in Nottingham; Alan living

and working in IT in Boston, USA, with American partner Rebecca; Heather hydrologist, with partner Bruce - live in Shrewsbury.
Keith was divorced in 1977 and married Jenny in 1978. They have three lovely children: Christopher, Civil Servant living with partner Tracey in Littleport; Louise, Air Stewardess with EasyJet, living in Bristol; Michelle ('Mimi') in her first year at University in Sheffield.
He says his total extended family is very close - all six children get on and regard themselves as full siblings.
Keith found Jesus, in 1981, when living in Paris and was licensed as a Reader in Ely Diocese in 2001.
