Successful bike ride

An enthusiastic band of riders left St. Andrew's Church, Northwold on 13 September. They were riding to raise money for the Norfolk Churches Trust; joining thousands of cyclists throughout the country, riding on the same day, to raise money for their local churches trust and their chosen local church, whatever the denomination. This has become a national event for everyone who can ride a bike. We were very proud to represent Northwold.
The riders were Jo Norris, Graeme & Joe Whiting, Alan Collins, Peter & Veronica Hutchby, Ian & Patricia Haye, Martin Chilvers & Mark Elwes.
436 was raised (an additional sum will come from the gift -aid tax concession), half of which will go to our beautiful St. Andrews.
I would like to thank all those who took part and all their sponsors. It was a beautiful day and we had great fun. There were a few new riders which was very encouraging; we look forward to even more joining us next year.
Jo Norris won the prize for raising the most money.
